Last night’s hotel was nice but on a noisy street. The room was a little stuffy so we had the window open for air and with that came evening noise. Trucks and people all night. Oh well, life on the Camino. Today was a reasonably flat day, at least as compared to yesterday.
We had a nice breakfast and were underway at 0830. Of course there was an uppy right away just to get our attention. It was chilly, so jackets on. The dew on the pasture glistened. Drops were on the barbed wire.
Note the different leaves on these eucalyptus trees. The lower branches are bluish and round leaved, while the upper are mature as we know them. This the first time we have seen the tree in transition
We stopped at a nice private Albergue in O Xistral for coffee and Santiago Cake. Then walked on meeting many pilgrims we had seen before and some new ones. It was a pleasant day.
Granite slabs are used in this area for short walls or fencing.
Once in Vilalba we checked into a hotel and went in search for an early pilgrims meal, finding it near by. JoLinda got her mussels! Al got his vino tinto! Life is good!
